Transport Clerk

Our client based in Dartford is looking for a Transport Clerk to ensure that the transport administration operational activities effectively and efficiently meet and exceed customer expectations.

We are looking for a candidate with strong organisational skills and previous experience in a fast-paced transport office environment. The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a client-focused approach, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. It is also is desirable to have experience in Transport Management Systems and a solid understanding of Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and effective management of traffic administration office duties in accordance with legislation and operational work instructions

Contribute to achieving all contractual KPI’s with particulate emphasis on POD accuracy, fleet utilisation and cost control

Ensure all administrative and IT functions are completed in line with company policy and procedures and client requirements

Produce reports as requested by contract supervisors and/or managers

To deal with any incoming/outgoing telephone calls politely and confidently, using own initiative to solve any situations that may arise

Ensure high standards of Health & Safety, cleanliness and tidiness throughout the working environment

Attend any developmental training as required in compliance with the Companies commitment to Investors in People Standard

The shift time for this role will be 10am to 6.30pm (working holidays)

The salary will be £27,276.60 per annum plus an additional 5% London Weighting (£1363.68 per annum)
