Our client is looking for reliable Class 2 Drivers for their healthcare operation based in Northampton. We are seeking reliable, energetic candidates to join this friendly and professional team.

About the role

  • Delivering healthcare products to hospitals, clinics and patients' homes
  • Up to 11 deliveries per day across the UK, including London
  • This is a handball role and may involve delivering products directly to hospital departments, clinics or customers' rooms
  • Safe unloading of products using pump trucks and Material Handling Equipment, including Climb Stackers and Linde equipment
  • Full training will be provided on all MHE equipment
  • Completing delivery paperwork and PODs
  • Following all healthcare, safety and GDP requirements

Vehicles

  • Drivers may be required to operate 3.5T, 7.5T, 12T and 18T vehicles, depending on the route assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • CPC qualification
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Maximum 6 penalty points
  • Good attitude, reliability and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with a physically active role
  • Able to provide a good level of customer service, personable and presentable

Additional Information

  • Full training will be provided
  • All candidates will be required to complete a DBS check
  • This is an important healthcare contract helping to ensure essential products reach hospitals and patients safely and on time across the UK.

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday
  • Start times between 04:00 and 06:00
  • Basic weekly hours 42 hours, £18.08 hourly pay (Sunday £22.51)

· Min of 8 hrs per shift, average shift can be 10 hours, you can work up to 48 / 52 hours per week

· Lots of overtime is available if wanted as different vehicles operated.

· Enhanced overtime rates apply after 42 hours and a higher overtime rate after 48 hours worked

· Weekly pay and online payslips.

· Workplace pension.

· 28 days’ annual leave, inclusive of eight bank holidays.

This role would suit drivers who enjoy varied routes, physical work and providing a high level of service on a healthcare contract.

Our client intends to relocate to the Corby area in the future, if you are able to reach both Northampton and Corby areas there are fantastic long-term opportunities and potential options of permanent positions in the future for the right candidates that excel in their roles.
