We have an exciting opportunity to join our client based in Erith, they are seeking a skilled Counterbalance Forklift driver / Warehouse operative to join them their friendly team on a temp to perm basis.

We are looking for someone with experience working within a warehouse environment that holds a valid certificate for Counterbalance forklift issued by a recognised training body, we cannot accept expired or in-house certificates. They are a busy logistics company in Erith and are seeking someone that can start immediately.

Role:

This is a very busy warehouse and you will be required to help in other areas in addition to using forklift, duties will include use of forklift for loading and unloading vehicles and containers, stacking of goods in correct locations inside the warehouse, distribution of goods, manual stock control and general warehouse duties as required i.e. hand balling and shrink wrapping pallets.

Experience of working in a fast-paced environment is paramount along with a proven work history of fork truck use. You must be reliable, a good timekeeper with great communication and be a team player. Candidates will need to provide checkable references and proof of experience in a similar role. A good level of literacy and numeracy is also required.

Skills / Attributes:

• Good level of English and Maths
• Hold a valid and in date certificate to operate Counterbalance forklift
• A minimum of two years’ experience operating Counterbalance forklift
• Clear communication and able to follow instruction
• Health & Safety awareness
• Reliable and punctual
• Hard-working and a team player
• Physically fit as manual handling can be required
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• PPE required - safety shoes and hi-vis vest.

Monday to Friday, 12pm-8pm

Salary: £28,000.

This role will be temporary via agency to start with and subject to satisfactory attendance and performance will become permanent after 12 weeks.
