CNC Operator/Miller

Our client based in Chingford (E4) is looking for an experienced CNC Operator/Miller to strengthen their team.

Joining a busy company in the print industry they are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set and Run CNC machines (Homag, Biesse)
  • Milling & Routing
  • Using CNC Software called WoodWOP
  • Use measuring equipment including running programs to check
  • Check components against drawing.
  • Adjust cutter offsets to meet tolerances.
  • Follow route card and make sure that quality standards are followed.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Able to Set and Run CNC Machines
  • Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings
  • 2 years experience

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

  • Good engineering background or educated within a mechanical engineering subject.
  • Team player
  • Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings

SKILLS

  • Good organisation, planning and prioritising of skills.
  • Some experience of general manual production machines.
  • Skilled in the use of: CNC Machinery
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Hours & Salary:

Hours are Monday to Friday 14.00pm – 22.00pm, weekend can be available in busy periods.

Pay rate: £15.00 – 16.00ph dependent upon experience
