An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client based in Gravesend, they are seeking energetic and experienced Machine Operator’s to strengthen their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the set up and daily management of Proseal GT1 heat sealing machines.
Main duties:
- Able to complete all necessary paperwork associated with the role (Training provided)
- Undertake preventative maintenance activities for Proseal GT1 heat sealing machine (Training provided)
- Taking full responsibility over any machine to ensure that is efficient
- Reporting any damages or major downtimes to the Supervisor
- Carrying out machinery start up checks and report anomalies
- Ensuring safe use of facilities and equipment, while also ensuring safe working environment
- Ensuring the safety, legality and quality of our products, while ensuring CCP’s are adhered to
- Liaising daily with Team Leaders on production targets
- Setting example and enforcing company policies and procedures
- Deputising on Team Leader absence
- Training other machine operators to entry level status •
- The role involves some manual handling and the ability to withstand working in cold storage conditions on a daily basis
- The role requires an alert disposition, working in the vicinity of PPT and moving machinery
Person Specification and Skill Requirements:
- Ideally experienced with Proseal GT1 but other machinery experience will be considered
- Reliable, with a pro-active approach to problem solving
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Basic English and good numeracy skills

Shift: 4 days a week including one day of the weekend – which days can be discussed and agreed in interview.
Hours of work: 18:30 – 05:30 (Nights)
Pay: £11.90 (level 1) £12.90 (level 2) £15.20 (level 3) . The successful candidate will start on level 1 or 2 depending on experience.
This role is permanent and for an immediate start.
