We are actively seeking seasonal HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client’s already successful and vibrant team. As an HGV Class 2 Driver you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that their catering and goods arrive with their airline customers on time, in-line with various scheduling requirements. This role is central to their services, allowing them to distribute the catering and goods which they are very proud of.
Complete your first full week and receive £100.00 joining bonus payment.
The Role:
As an HGV Class 2 Driver you will be working in both airside and non-airside areas of their business:
- Collecting and loading of the bar sets and catering equipment on to 17 tonne rigid vehicles
- Driving airside, you will ensure our products are delivered safely on time to the aircraft
- Liaise with Cabin Crew from their array of airline customers to facilitate the transfer of catering equipment to and from your vehicle to the aircraft
- Occasional requirement to delivery stock to other units across the UK
- Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment where the aim is to delight customers
Please note your duties will include but are not limited to the above.
Requirements:
To undertake this role, you must:
- Full UK Driving License Class 2 Cat C (with no more than 3 points)
- Full CPC and tacho
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Committed and reliable
- Have adequate numeracy and English skills
- Airside pass will need to be obtained on your behalf so you must be able to provide reference information covering the full preceding 5-year period, any gaps in employment must be verifiable to gain airside pass
- DBS will be conducted on your behalf
Shifts:
We have various shifts available, just weekend work 3.00pm-11.30pm, we have weekday shifts between Monday – Sunday of 8.00am – 4.30pm
Flat hourly rate of pay £18.21 (plus £100.00 bonus payment awarded upon completion of first week - 7 days)
