Warehouse Operative

Our client, based in Grays, is looking for experienced Warehouse Operatives to strengthen their friendly team.

We are seeking good all-rounders with some solid warehouse experience, you should have a minimum of one year’s current experience working in a warehouse and be fully aware of health and safety in this environment. We have a couple of different roles available. You could be working both inside the warehouse and outside in the yard completing various tasks, a good level of English and Maths is required as you can be measuring and cutting coils, making coils, packing, keep areas tidy and general warehouse duties. We currently have opportunities for candidates in their coiling room.

The role will consist of:

  • Cutting and coiling various lengths of cable (special national contract)
  • Picking and packing stock for customers
  • Wrapping pallets
  • General upkeep of warehouse and coiling room area

Skills / Attributes:

  • Good level of English and Maths
  • Clear communication, able to follow instruction
  • Reliable, punctual, hard-working and a team player
  • Physically fit as manual handling will be required
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • PPE required - safety shoes and hi-vis vest.

Hours & Salary:

Monday – Friday, 08.00am – 17.00pm, 40 hours per week, closed bank holidays

£11.00 hourly pay rate
