Park Cleansing / Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Park Cleansing / Maintenance Worker to join our client based in Leyton. This role is essential in ensuring that outdoor spaces are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and functional.

Holding a driving licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for the maintenance of local parks;

6am – main duties are the responsibility of opening the parks to the public, you will help to maintain high standards of cleanliness across the borough’s green spaces through a programme of litter / waste picking, weeding, emptying bins, and any ad hoc assignments as requested.

3.30pm – main duties are to clean the sports grounds, mopping floors in sports facilities, cleaning changing rooms and ensuring the cleanliness of restrooms and other common areas and any ad hoc assignments as requested, also responsible for closing gates at the end of the day to secure the facilities.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge to operate and maintain various equipment used.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Physical stamina to perform manual labour
A clean UK driving licence is advantageous for this role

Salary: starting at £12.21, increasing after 12 weeks to £13.85

Monday to Friday. 6am – 2.30pm and afternoon shift is 3.30pm – 12.00am (midnight).
