Our client based in Dartford has an exciting opportunity to join their friendly team as an Administrator to support their daily operations.
This role involves a mix of administrative, operational, and compliance tasks to help ensure that production, inventory, and documentation run efficiently and in accordance with food safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative support to sales, production, quality assurance, warehouse, and management teams.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Assist with tracking purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier documentation.
- Handle office communications, including answering phones, responding to emails, and routing inquiries to appropriate departments.
- Prepare and file documentation required for food safety compliance (e.g., HACCP records, traceability logs, cleaning schedules).
- Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and assist with report preparation.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs with external vendors and contractors.
- Order and manage office and production-related supplies.
- Ensure all administrative procedures support food safety, hygiene, and company quality standards.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably in manufacturing or food production. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and industry compliance (e.g., HACCP, GMP) would be advantageous.
- Any additional qualifications in business administration or food safety are a plus.
- Qualified to A Level or equivalent standard (e.g., IB Diploma, Level 3 qualification)
WORKING ATTRIBUTES
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
£27,846PA / £12.60 (plus 1 hour paid break daily so over 37.5hrs worked this would equate to £14.28ph)
This role is on a temp – perm basis, subject to satisfactory performance and attendance this role will become permanent after 12 week’s.
