Counterbalance Forklift and Warehouse Operative

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our client based in Grays on a permanent basis, they are looking for experienced Warehouse Operatives with valid Counterbalance Forkliift certificates to strengthen their friendly team.
We are seeking good all-rounders with some solid warehouse experience, you should have a minimum of two year’s current experience operating counterbalance trucks and be fully aware of health and safety in a warehouse environment. Our client is able to offer training on Reach forklift so should you have any experience on Reach trucks via an in-house or expired certificate this is advantageous.
Main duties but not limited to;
Loading and unloading vehicles and containers via forklifts and MHE
Assisting with various duties around warehouse when forklifts use not required
Stock put away to correct locations in warehouse
Stripping and wrapping pallets
General upkeep of warehouse
Skills / Attributes:
Good level of English and Maths
Hold a valid and in date certificate to operate Counterbalance forklift
A minimum of two years’ experience operating counterbalance forklifts
An expired or in-house Reach certificate would be great to have but is not essential
Clear communication, able to follow instruction
Health & Safety awareness
Reliable, punctual, hard-working and a team player
Physically fit as manual handling will be required
Accuracy and attention to detail
PPE required - safety shoes and hi-vis vest.
Hours & Salary:
Monday – Friday, 08.00am – 17.00pm, 40 hours per week, closed bank holidays
£11.50 hourly pay rate
28 days Annual Leave inclusive of bank holidays

Subject to satisfactory performance and attendance this role will become permanent after 12 weeks
Immediate start available.
If awarded a permanent contract, you would have the opportunity to work overtime hours paid at time and half but this is an option not a requirement and you would also be included in their profit share scheme (meaning you could be in receipt of annual bonuses).
