Warehouse Packing Supervisor

Our client based in Dartford is seeking experienced Warehouse Packing Supervisor to strengthen their team.

Role Purpose:

To ensure all products are finished to a high standard and packed with care ready for dispatch on time to fulfil customer requirements by managing the packing operatives. Ensuring that the production line meets the BSC accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Packing Operatives in the use of any required machinery or tools
  • Assigning Packing operatives to roles for their shift
  • Regularly rotating packing operatives on each line to make sure each packer has good working knowledge of all processes
  • Working out overtime roster if necessary
  • Ensuring all items are Cleaned, wrapped, bagged, stacked, packed and correctly labelled for shipment or storage
  • Ensuring all Packing operatives follow all Health and Safety regulations
  • Ensuring all Packing operatives follow BSC Personal Protective Equipment guidelines
  • Performing quality control checks and reporting any issues immediately to the production manager
  • Report any mechanical issues immediately to the production manager
  • Changing blades on the packing machines
  • Following all company guidelines regarding packaging
  • Handling products with care and attention to detail
  • Ensuring that each product meets specifics of the customer order in a timely manner

Requirements and Experience:

  • High Attention to Detail
  • Critical thinking
  • Knowledge of HACCP analysis preferable
  • Ability to prioritise work and effective time management
  • Proven Leadership skills, including conflict resolution
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Proven work experience as a Packer or similar role
  • Experience in manufacturing or related field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Works well as part of a team

Hourly Pay £14.50

Shift is Monday to Thursday 8.30pm - 7.30am

  • Time and a half Overtime after 12weeks
  • 28 days Annual Leave including bank holidays
